GIVEAWAY QUESTION: What helps you when you feel anxious?
Introduction music Everlasting Covenant by Don Rutherford.
My view that is, if you use excellent skincare, then you're makeup and cosmetics, those become an accessory.
There's the art of noticing, and it's just noticing what is around me. How God has put creation together. What is the season right now? What are the smells that I'm experiencing? What am I seeing? What am I feeling? And just reconnecting to creation in that way.
Colossians 1:17, And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist, is another sweet verse for me that he's before all things and he holds all things together. So even before creation, he put creation together and he's still holding it all together now, even me. So, when I feel like everything's falling apart, even myself, I have to remind myself that God is holding it all together and that I don't have to be the one to do it.

Practical Advice for Anxiety
Nichole emphasizes recognizing when worry is more than just a fleeting thought. Symptoms like racing heartbeats, difficulty concentrating, and a general sense of unease can indicate anxiety that needs addressing.
Breath Prayers: Nichole practices breath prayers, combining deep breathing with scripture. For instance, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart" is used in the in-breath, and "Lean not on your own understanding" is used in the out-breath. This method helps calm the mind and focus on God's word.
Kitchen Therapy: Nichole finds the simple act of preparing meals therapeutic. The repetitive nature of chopping vegetables can shift focus from anxious thoughts to the present task, offering a sense of calm and accomplishment.
Grounding Techniques: When anxiety strikes, Nichole recommends grounding techniques such as identifying objects around you, noting smells, or sucking on a strong mint like an Altoid. These actions help tether the mind to the present moment.
Embracing the Outdoors: By spending time outdoors, observing the seasons, and practicing the art of noticing, we can find peace and a deeper connection with God.
