In this episode of the Beholder Beauty Podcast, I welcome screenwriter and author Jaclyn Whitt to discuss her new book 'In the Beginning, Middle, and End: A Screenwriter's Observations of Life, Character, and God.' Jaclyn shares her background, including her upbringing in Canada, her move to Mexico, and her journey into writing and podcasting. Our conversation delves into the therapeutic nature of writing, the importance of recognizing God as the author of our lives, and Jaclyn's personal testimony of overcoming deep depression and suicidal thoughts through faith.
This interview also touches on the concept of character arcs in screenwriting and personal growth, the significance of miracles and crises, and the value of respectful, open-minded listening. Jaclyn encourages listeners to pursue their God-given gifts and trust in God's plan, highlighting God's power to guide and transform lives through even the darkest times.

Introduction music Everlasting Covenant by Don Rutherford.
It doesn't matter if you're 20 or 50 or 90, God gave you this amazing body and and he gave you all the features that he gave you—and to be able to just appreciate that.
I think I felt like I didn't even have the right to call on God because I had made such a mess of my life.
I've actually heard that testimony from other people who were literally about to choose to commit suicide, and they heard a voice speak to them that gave them some kind of a wisdom to make them to think twice.
And then they chose to give their life to God.
