Where You'll Find Me
A poem, a blessing: Finding ourselves in God's great rescue story
Giving a voice to the journey from broken to beloved. 🕊️ If this message touches you today, please place a heart in the comments. It’s a small gesture that helps my writing reach more lovely hearts with the hope of Jesus.
Hi friend,
What a beautiful gift it is to follow Jesus. That our story is not defined by our worst chapter, but by His lovely redemption.
So with that in mind, I wanted to share with you a favorite poem from Prodigal Daughter, “Where You’ll Find Me,” a reflection on pilgrimage, restoration, and finding our way home to Christ. It comes from the last chapter, “Dancing,” and I’ve included the intro in case you haven’t read the book yet.
I’ve also included a blessing and a Scripture, plus a question I’d love for you to answer in the comments.
I hope these words meet you wherever you are on your journey.
DANCING She danced with Jesus from innocence to lost, then to innocence again; what was stolen, all redeemed— like a choreographed ballet, all creation in step, contagious joy rang. Though the Pilgrim’s Path is hard and there are many trials, the Savior gives her strength and victory because it was always a “She lived happily ever after” kind of story.
WHERE YOU’LL FIND ME Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. —Robert Frost, “The Road Not Taken” Find me: on a winding path under the wood canopy humming old-time hymns… rolling dough on a silicon mat, sugar cookies, and apple pie… lost in a book, found in worlds, held by a Voice… torn and reborn, a prodigal returned… remnants of a little girl, now mature in years, yet still a little girl… a life well-lived, looking back and forward… in a great rescue story like the ones I read about in the books I love… a heroine saved by a hero, a dragon slayed: a fairytale made real… stepping out of an old shell of shame, regret, and loss… regenerated, renewed, restored, and resurrected… stronger than ever, bold for the Lord on His narrow path, winding through the world— a pilgrimage home down the road less taken.
And as you go, I want to leave you with this blessing:
A Blessing for You
May your day be blessed,
and may you know the love of your Creator,
the One who made it all—
the heavens and the moon,
the sun and stars,
the birds, the trees, and the streams that flow.May your heart be full, knowing the love of Jesus,
sheltered on your pilgrimage,
stronger and bold for Him
on His narrow path,
His beloved in this great rescue story.
A Scripture to hold onto
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. —Philippians 4:8-9 NKJV
Lastly, tell me about you. If your life were a poem called Where You’ll Find Me, what would it say? Where will I find you?
If you have a prayer request, please leave it in the comments. I write each one in my prayer journal and pray for you.
With love,
Deborah 🕊️✨🌿

I enjoy taking in the bookstore and having a nice hot cup of coffee ☕️ or a frappuccino. I also refuel by reading, planning a vacation, working on family history, and a good movie or western on TV.
Grateful thanks for your material
