Stepping into September, the soft sky touched and draped me in coolness. I even wore jeans for the first time in months.
This summer has been good, a summer of growth and lessons, like house repairs, interruptions, and wonderings about my harvest.
But then I realized I wanted to harvest before the fruit was ready or ripe. This really requires trust in God that He’s got this. As always, as soon as I surrender my self-reliance and doubt, my flowers bloom, and my harvest ripens.
Soon, I will get up in the morning, and it will seem like a Painter visited in the middle of the night and refreshed the landscape with a fresh coat of paint. How is your first week of September going? #September #poetry #reflection #harvest #growth
